And here we are! We have two products, EnerVision Portable Power Station 200 and EnerVision Portable Power Station 450, in 444Wh and 200Wh capacity, and they are ready to be launched on the market!
But first, let us tell you what lead-acid and Li-ion is and why it is so important for us to have Li-ion battery cells in our products.
The lead-acid battery was invented in 1859 by French physicist Gaston Planté and is the oldest type of rechargeable battery. Most contemporary mobile power stations are made from lead-acid batteries. Though they are reliable because of almost 160 years of development, robust, tolerant to overcharging and can deliver very high currents, those batteries raise significant concerns about the environment and human health because they require fuel and generate fumes.
Lithium batteries were proposed by British chemist M Stanley Whittingham while working for Exxon in the 1970s. The life cycle of Li-ion batteries is 3 times as long as lead-acid and their weight is 3 times as light. One of their greatest advantages is high energy density, that’s why our portable power stations operate longer between charges while still consuming more power. However, what is more, important is that lithium-ion batteries are environmentally friendly.
We use premiere Li-ion battery cells from LG Chem and ATL, two of top four Li-ion battery cell manufacturers in the world, so our products are safe, require no fumes or liquid fuel. EnerVision power stations can provide the best energy density products, lightest and smallest for higher capacity.
